How to spot fake reviews
Six quick signs a review was not written by a real customer, and what to trust instead.
Most fake reviews share a few patterns. Look for these before you buy.
Six warning signs
- No detail. “Great product, fast delivery!” says nothing a real buyer would.
- Bursts. Dozens of five-star reviews on the same day.
- Same wording. Different names, identical phrases.
- One-review accounts. A reviewer with no history at all.
- Off-topic praise. The review could be about any shop.
- Only extremes. All five stars or all one star, nothing in between.
What to trust instead
Reviews tied to proof of purchase. On BuyerChecked, every review needs a real order code and an identity-checked reviewer, and each one is screened before it goes live.
