washed the cotton poplin dress at thirty degrees eight times now and it has not shrunk a millimetre against my own tape measure. I asked a slightly stupid question and got a kind, clear answer rather than a copy-and-paste. Elastic in the waistband is a wide woven band rather than a thin rolled cord, so it has not twisted in the wash.

exactly right

Colour matches the photographs properly, which is rare; the mustard is actually mustard and not a washed-out beige. I needed to change the delivery address an hour after ordering and they did it without a fuss.

they went out of their way

i ordered the pleated midi skirt in two sizes to be safe and the size guide turned out to be exact, so the spare went back the same week with no fuss. i have ordered eight times now and nothing has ever gone wrong, which is the highest compliment i can pay. The knit has not bobbled where my bag STRAP sits, which killed the LAST three jumpers I owned.

No stiff finish on the fabric, so it did not need two washes before it was wearable. The item arrived a day earlier than the estimate, which is the right direction for an estimate to be wrong in. Worth every penny

Packaging were a recycled card box no plastic at all and the whole thing went in the paper recycling. I returned one of two sizes, and the refund appeared without me having to chase it once. Nothing rattled in transit because everything was individually wrapped rather than thrown in loose. The buttons are horn rather than moulded plastic and there was a spare sewn into the inside of the placket. No handling fee no insurance upsell, no surprise charge at the door. The stitching on the cotton poplin dress is dense and even, with proper French seams inside rather than a raw overlocked edge. Delivery was free over a sensible threshold rather than one calculated to make you add something you do not want. Better than I expected.
