gift for a toddler who has everything
My nephew has more toys than he can count, so I decided on a small wooden shape sorter and a book. I was a bit anxious that it would be forgotten in the pile. Instead his mum messaged me to say it was the first thing he reached for, and he sat for twenty minutes working out which shape fits where. The wood is smooth, the colours are soft, and the book has sturdy pages. Parcel arrived with a short gift note in my words. Simple presents sometimes do beat noisy plastic.

The night light meets the British safety standard and the certificate number is printed on the label, not just claimed on the website. The gift note was handwritten and the price was left off the enclosed invoice without me asking.

fiddly gate
Baby gate is strong and swings both ways, but the pressure fit took ages to tighten properly. Once it's fitted it holds. I'd suggest the wall mount for stairs.

The nappy bag is light enough to carry up a flight of stairs with a sleeping child in the other arm. Refund was processed the same day the return was scanned, before anyone had even opened the box.

second pair of shoes
i ordered a pair of school shoes and a pair of indoor slippers for my son who is seven. School shoes are firm, polishable and fit well in the width, and they've survived a month of playground football . Slippers are soft but the soles wore through quicker than I expected, within two months. The shop offered a discount on the next order after I complained, which was decent of them. I'd buy the shoes again.

decent bag
Changing bag with insulated bottle pockets and a pad. Plenty of room and lots of pockets, but the strap digs into my shoulder once it's loaded. A softer strap would make it ideal.

Exactly what I hoped for
the nappy bag has a wipe-clean LINING and a changing mat that fits back in without a fight. The parcel fitted through the letterbox, which saved me a trip to a depot. Exactly what I hoped for !

The baby carrier has a tog rating stated and a room temperature guide printed on the label itself. I needed to change the delivery address an hour after ordering and they did it without a fuss.
