United Kingdomsad ending to a good plan
I planned a first solo overnight hike and orderd a tent, a stove and a sleeping pad here. The pad developed a slow leak by morning and I woke up on cold ground. The stove's regulator woudln't hold a flame in eveen slight wind . I wrote to the shop with photos and it took eleven days to get a reply, wich said I should try patching the pad. I'm grateful I was only a short walk from home. For safety gear, this was not good enough, and I'd urge anybody to test things in the garden before trusting them on a trail.
