The sizing is honest: I am a forty-two in most things and a forty-two here. The gift note was handwritten and the price was left off the enclosed invoice without me asking. The leather has creased across the vamp rather than cracking, which is how you know it is full grain. The courier note said they would leave it with the neighbour at number eleven, and they did. The lining is leather rather than a synthetic that makes your feet sweat. I have ordered eight times now and nothing has ever gone wrong, which is the highest compliment I can pay.

The stitching at the welt is even all the way round with no skipped stitches. They told me honestly that the item would not arrive before the weekend rather than letting me hope. Laces are long enough to tie properly and they included a spare pair. They emailed a one-hour delivery window the morning of and hit it.

I orderd two sizes, kept one, & the refund for the other was in my account in 6. Click and collect was ready in two hours and the counter staff found it immediatly. Delivery was 6 and they included a prepaid return label in case the size was wrong, which it was not. The parcel fitted through the letterbox, which saved me a trip to a depot.The court shoes have done two wintsrs of a London commute and the soles have barely worn at the heel.

Suede has survived three showers with nothing but an brush, becuase it was properly treated. Refund was processed the same day the return was scanned, before anyone had even opened the box.

I have wide feet and the fact that they sell an actual wide fitting rather than an size up has changed my year. I was kept informed at every stage without being spammed. The running trainers have done two winters of a London commute and the soles have barely worn at the heel. Nothing rattled in transit because everything was individually wrapped rather than thrown in loose. The deck shoes have been resoled once by a local cobbler who commented on how well they were made.
