The sizing is honest: I am a forty-two in most things and a forty-two here. The gift note was handwritten and the price was left off the enclosed invoice without me asking. The leather has creased across the vamp rather than cracking, which is how you know it is full grain. The courier note said they would leave it with the neighbour at number eleven, and they did. The lining is leather rather than a synthetic that makes your feet sweat. I have ordered eight times now and nothing has ever gone wrong, which is the highest compliment I can pay.

The stitching at the welt is even all the way round with no skipped stitches. They told me honestly that the item would not arrive before the weekend rather than letting me hope. Laces are long enough to tie properly and they included a spare pair. They emailed a one-hour delivery window the morning of and hit it.

I orderd two sizes, kept one, & the refund for the other was in my account in 6. Click and collect was ready in two hours and the counter staff found it immediatly. Delivery was 6 and they included a prepaid return label in case the size was wrong, which it was not. The parcel fitted through the letterbox, which saved me a trip to a depot.The court shoes have done two wintsrs of a London commute and the soles have barely worn at the heel.

I like them, but the colour is a redder brown than the photographs show. Order arrived in two parts and the second part was 12 behind the first with no warning. The leather loafers are comfortable; the sole, however, is thinner than I expected for a walking shoe. Returns portal needed an order number in a format that does not match the one on my invoice. Smart loafers, slippery sole. Minor gripes only.

Suede has survived three showers with nothing but an brush, becuase it was properly treated. Refund was processed the same day the return was scanned, before anyone had even opened the box.
