Pens write nicely. The caps are an bit tight, hard to remove with one hand.

I am sorry the unit failed so quickly. It was a bad batch of cells and we knew about it; you should have been contacted. You have not been charged and a replacement is on its way. — Rajiv, Technical Support Warmly, Katie

Replacement refills are available and are a standard size rather than a proprietary one - Packed well enough that the box could have been kicked down a flight of stairs. The leather pencil case is a hardback with a cloth spine rather than a printed paper wrap, so it has survived a wet bag. They noticed I had ordered a duplicate by mistake and emailed to check before shipping. The sketchbook paper takes a light wash without cockling, which they claimed and I doubted.

I am sorry. The restocking fee was applied by an old rule in our returns software that should have been removed last year. It has been refunded along with your original postage. — Marcus, Customer Care Callum from the shop team

I ordered the gel pen set for a gift and they wrapped it and wrote the card by hand for nothing extra. I returned one of two sizes and the refund appeared without me having to chase it once. Keep doing what you are doing.

Rollerball with a weighted barrel. Balanced in the hand, no scratchiness. Refills last. I have been through about six brands and this is my favourite.
